JS Tip 34: From the Leading, Guiding, and Directing Others Workshop: Express Gratitude to your Employees.
Your mother taught you the magic words, ”Please” and “Thank you.” This week’s tip, appropriately, is on gratitude.
More employees leave a company for lack of appreciation rather than lack of compensation. They feel they don’t matter and often no amount of money will change that.
But you can.
Henry Ford, American entrepreneur and innovator, said, “You can take my factories, burn up my buildings, but give me my people and I’ll build the business right back again.” In order to keep the best employees, they must know they are appreciated.
They matter to the company. They make a difference. And, when sincerely spoken, so do the magic words: “Thank you.”
We, at Jefferson Smith, absolutely appreciate each of you. Without you, we wouldn’t be here, doing what we love to do. Let us know how we can help you further. Enjoy your Holidays.
